The Central Park of Miraflores or Parque Kennedy presents different proposals of recreation to its visitors. On one hand, there are the sandwich trolleys and desserts where one can taste, among other delicacies, butifarras, rice milk puddings and the very traditional mazamorra morada. In the “Paseo de los Pintores”, where local artists show their work, beautiful artwork may be found and of course bought. In the amphitheater, on weekends, local artists play music where couples dance to its lovely melodies.
Located on one side of the park, the Virgen Milagrosa Church, built in 1939 and designed by Ricardo de Jaxa Malachowski, is a must for all tourists to admire. Right next to the church is located the Municipal Palace, where in honor to its architect, the art room Luis Miró Quesada Garland was inaugurated. The Central Park of Miraflores currently occupies 22,000 square meters and is the cultural, ecological and tourist park of this vibrant district.
