Archaeological Site Cajamarquilla

Cajamarquilla was an important cultural, religious and commercial center that developed between the final years of the Early Intermediate Period (ac. 200 - 700) and the Incan conquest. The archaeological zone covers an area of approximately 167 hectares, which constitutes one of the largest of Peru. This site consists of large sets of structures, both rectangular and pyramid constructed land, which include buildings and ceremonial plazas, wide streets, terraces, cemeteries, underground grain silos and channels.
